Challenge
Create an exciting new suite of photography and a premium promotional brochure for the relaunch of luxury bathroom brand Sottini by parent company Ideal Standard.
I joined Conran Design Group's creative team and worked with the new brand positioning of 'Simply Imagine' and visual identity Conran were creating for Sottini.
Solution
Hero photography treats each beautiful bathroom product as an 'objet d'art'. Dramatic sculptural installations play on unique features of each product and fit the brand ethos of `craft and creativity' and the unifying theme of `Simply Imagine'.
Product photography is simply luxurious and exquisitely lit. Minimal, elegant sets without props showcase the products and give a distinctive look against Sottini's competitors.
Within Conran's senior creative team I helped generate concepts for the Hero photography, prepared for and co-art directed the photo shoot. I planned for, scheduled and art directed the large, complex product photography shoot over 12 days.
We recreated the Hero concepts for a brand launch exhibition at London's 100% Design event.
A premium brochure was created, showcasing the new brand, products and photography.
Beautiful foil block finishes on a luxurious black slipcase give a premium feel. Hero and Product imagery make a dramatic statement throughout the two brochures – Inspiration and Technical – and set Sottini apart from their competition.
